What we collect

If you subscribe or ask for a sample, we keep your email address and anything else you choose to send us, such as your name, company and trade. If you pay, Stripe collects your card and billing details on its own checkout page. We see your name, email and payment status, but never your full card number.

How we use it

We use your email address to send the weekly list, to answer your messages and to handle your subscription. We don't sell, rent or share your personal information with anyone for their marketing.

Who processes it for us

• Stripe handles payments (Stripe's privacy policy).
• Google Workspace hosts our email.
• Cloudflare hosts this website and, like any web host, processes basic request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

This site doesn't use advertising trackers or set its own cookies. Stripe's checkout page may set cookies needed for payment and fraud prevention.

Public records in the list

The list is built from public building permit reports and the California Contractors State License Board's public license records. It shows job addresses and contractors of record. It does not include homeowner names. If you think something about you is wrong, email us and we'll look at it.

Your choices

Every issue has an unsubscribe link, or you can reply "unsubscribe". To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, email [email protected]. California residents have these rights under the CCPA, and we honor them for everyone.
